The project involves the engineering of Riyadh’s New Underground Line 3 of about 41 km, which is part of the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project.

BACKGROUND

This Project was sponsored by MOH (Ministry of Health, KSA).

In line with KSA Vision 2030, the MOH planned to deliver Saudi Arabia’s first hospital public private partnership project to achieve the key overriding objectives of the Project as listed below.

The RIS will include:

Provide medical care for the citizens of Al Madinah City and pilgrims.
Leverage international best practices to drive innovative infrastructure, service and cost efficiencies, data monitoring, quality standards and optimized implementation timeline.
Improve facility management and safety level of healthcare facilities.
Improve efficient use of existing resources and spend.
Increase private sector share of spending through alternative financing, ownership and delivery models.
Develop a transferrable and scalable model for the Project that can be applied to future hospital projects in KSA.

Contrax International was engaged by a key bidding consortium to develop an integrated whole life cycle cost-based solution capturing 20 years of O&M and hand back to meet the requirements of the tender request for proposal and to achive alignment with the internationally accepted industry best practices for the similar category of the hospitals.
